Cori B's birthday party

Faber, Irv and I went to Cori B's 40th birthday party yesterday. She had a great birthday party with a luau theme at her boyfriend Scott's house in Newcastle. It was a big deal! The decorations were a lot of fun, the food has great (there was a roast pig cooked in a pit) and there was a very entertaining band that played the blues.

In attendance; Cori and her sister Janelle, and her other sister that I don't know, Shari and Ellis Smith, Virgi Bond, Linda Robinson and Chip Perley,
Carole Guild, and Gale Pearson and her husband.

It was risky having an outdoor party in August, but luckily the temperature was mild and we all had a fabulous time.

St. Patrick's Day in Auburn

Faber, Irv and I went to the Cal Club for corn beef and cabbage and saw a bunch of my friends there - Linda Robinson, Shari Smith, Betty Gadberry, Pat Brown, Debi Lawrence and Denni C., Marilyn W. and Laurie Nelson, Elan from Colfax.

The corned beef and cabbage was good, but not as good as last year I think. The bread was excellent.

After we left there, it was my idea to go over to the Power Club, and I was sorry. We saw Bill and Nancy Rad. with Casey, and they were just leaving when we came in so we hopped in their seats. The service was terrible. If you are going to advertise as being an "Irish Pub" you ought to, you know, hire some help for St. Patrick's Day.

Celebrity Chef

I went to the Celebrity Chef dinner on Thursday night, and I ran into my friends Kelly Cooper and Kelly Fulfer. Here is a nice picture of Kelly Cooper and her pretty daughter Paige.
I knew a ton of people at the event but I am too tired today to list them all.

From Old Town I saw Linda Robinson, Reese Browning and Ty Rowe.

From the City I saw Bob and Jen Richardson, Mike Holmes, Keith Nesbitt, Bridget Powers, former City Council Cheryl Maki and Bob Snyder, and Bernie.

I went to the celebration with my friends Lora LaPorte and Alan Campbell, my husband and Irv.

Where's a cop when you need one?

I got a kick out of this one - some Auburn "yute" doing donuts at the Clipper Gap exit. And you know there are always six CHP cars at the speed trap right across the overpass.

My Diva Birthday Party

I had my fabulous Diva birthday party last night at Chevy's. Our server Bobby took real good care of us.

My friend Linda Robinson, who owns Sunriver Clothing arranged the whole thing. Also in attendance were my very good friend Irv Eastman, Ruby Evers, Pam Trice, Shari Smith, my husband Faber, of course, Nancey Hollandthen, Linda's husband Chip Perley, my friend Kelly Fulfer, who I haven't seen in the longest time, Debi Lawrence and her sister Denni, a woman that I don't know, Leslie, Cheryl Wright and her mother Marilyn, who owns Marilyn's Fashionation, Pat Brown and her fiancé Ron, Betty Gadberry and Elan from Colfax, and the new girl Monique.

I have lots of fabulous presents. Shari Smith brought me a Rose of Sharon bush that she's been growing for several years. Linda gave me a cape. Pam Trice gave me the beautiful paperweight from Eisley's. Laurie Nelson gave me a very cute coffee cup. Pat Brown gave me an aspargus serving dish that she made in ceramics. Elan from Colfax gave me of photograph that was taken at the Chamber Installation dinner. There is a bath gift set. Ruby gave me a tiny bud base that hangs from the mirror or any other flat surface. Elan also gave me an oil diffuser, I love those. Marily gave me a yellow T-shirt. It was a fabulous birthday partyand I was very happy that so many of my friends came and brought me presents especially since I have been neglecting the Diva's so much in the last six months as I was getting ready for my surgery.

Stupid dog lady

Hey lady lobbing balls to your dog at the Meadow Vista Park this morning - you know the dog is supposed to be on a leash and not chasing the geese! I don't like the geese either, they crap all over the park. But why are you going to argue about it? I can't stand people who will stand there and argue an absolutely indefensible position.

Auburn has a dog park, don't be such a stubborn bitch - take your dog to the dog park!
